Title: sparky, PULLING CODES AND BLEW UP THE COMPUTER (SOLVED)
Post by: jcassity on April 26, 2008, 10:17:08 PM
so i prepare to pull my codes.

I install a paperclip jumper wire
next i connect my 12v test light bulb to the  pos battery
next i go to connect the other end of the test light to the 6 pin connector

opps,, i bumped my jumper wire with my pos 12v test light.,,spark!

20th anny starts up and stumbles falling flat on its face.  This puts the car in the "down" status.
I figured out what happend and replaced the required part,, any takers?

The car runs now.

Lesson learned,,,,,,,,,,
Connect the test light to the 6 pin connector first then connect the other end to the pos battery post.
