Title: Trailer Hitch
Post by: 5.0 tbird on April 25, 2008, 10:36:57 PM
I pulled this off of this car. I was gonna use it on my car, but I lucked up and found one on a Mark VII so it got put on. It's a Draw-tite 11902 Class 1 hitch, and it's out of production. I would assume it fits all 83-88 Thunderbirds and Cougars. It doesn't have any hardware cause the stuff holding it on was so rusty it just broke when I went to take it off. :hick: I'll take 30.00 plus shipping for it. I almost hate to sell it cause I'll probably end up with a Bird or a Cougar at some point and need this thing. But if someone is needing one here's your chance to pick it up.

Hey, how did this thing bolt up? I can't really picture where it would mount. (mostly cause I have a fuel cell in the trunk) How much does a class 1 hitch hold? Thanks....

The front part of it bolted to the trunk floor and the back part bolted to the bumper. Thishiznitch says it will hold 2,000 lb GTW and 200 lb on the tongue.

Wow that thing looks like it weighs like 20 lbs less than my old one form U-Haul. looks good in you just need to haul some mowing stuff or a 4 wheeler or dirt bikes.
