At about 4:35am (cdt) we got woke up to a 5.4 Earthquake and just about scared the living out everybody in the house. They are saying it centered in the mid state of Illinois and could be felt as far away as W.Virginia and some other surrounding states. I hope nobody got hurt during this moving experience. :shakehead
Dan & Paula :cougarsmily: ;)
Yup. woke me up here in Indy.
Down here in Oklahoma,we just use alarm clocks to wake us up.We don't need those fancy shmancy earthquakes.
By the way,rust.....earthquakes....what else do you guys have that we don't?
Didn't feel it here, between columbus n cinci n dayton. I'm figidty too as well, so I may have missed it. Sounds big for the area though, yuck!
oh, I didn't feel anything here
Oceanfront views ans scenic water locations:flip:
And SEAGULLS
felt i nw ill . up by rockford.[yes we have winter, rust, rain,
and grass to mow].--irv
Felt it in Owensboro, Kentucky... freakin' woke me up!! I thought the cat was going to climb the bedroom wall, lol.
Wow that is kinda scary. When was the last time there was an earthquake in the central united states. Oh yeah and Vinnie if the one that made the Mississippi flow backwards and rang bells in Boston happens again I bet you will feel it.
It woke me up too.
Our Lab sleeps on the floor next to the bed and I thought it was her pushing on the bed or something, I looked at her and she was still sleeping.
At that point I thought maybe I was imagining things and went back to sleep.
When I heard it on the radio this morning, it all made sense.

Since this morining we've had 3 or 4 little tremors and within the last hour and a half...another 4.6 after shock gave us another jolt.

Didn't feel it, but I sleep through everything.
Woke my mom up though.
wow i felt it all the way down here but then i realized that my wife had farted:fart: :fart:
i was gettin some then so it wouldnt have made much difference:shakeass:
I thought it was my dog scratching her ear, she sleeps at the foot of the bed (when she doesnt try to push me off) so i went to nudge her with my foot and when i did it didnt stop and she barked or growled and i looked down an she was looking at me like what the hell? Then i realized that mybottles where clanking and it was an earthquake. It was awesome. 1st one Ive been in.
These aftershocks just keep coming another 4.5 tremor hit here about 12:30am this morning.....When are they going to "S T O P"
I felt the initial one here in Madison, it woke me up. My buddy woke up too, about 20 miles away. His Wife said that her computer monitor shook a bit and the pencils on the desk rattled around. I remember waking up, but not why I woke up. I found out that afternoon that there had been an earthquake.
We have seagulls and were land locked. I think its out state bird.
We have lots of seagulls out here. I could care less about having an ocean view. Blue water forever sounds kinda boring ;)
Not allot of flat land in SW, Ohio, must be one reason we don't fell it like you guys do in Indy.
My morning paper has said we've had a total of 21 earthquakes since last friday. I personally would like these things to "END"
I think that is a bit of an exaggeration...

These reporters don't have anything else to do so I believe you a hundred percent "Chuck". Only because I've felt the 2 bigger ones so far.
Well they may be including ALL the small aftershocks.
I just noticed that that site only lists those over 2.5. In that respect there have only been 1/2 doz or so.
   I about DIED when I read that. Wow. Abosolute WIN.
