Title: Parting out a 88 TC?
Post by: pro-five-oh on April 14, 2008, 06:26:46 PM
I recently got my hands on a rust free 1988 Turbo Coupe with 85k for parts.  Sat outside for 10 years. Dibs on the suspension (shocks, springs, swaybars, control arms) interior bits, wheels, T-5, electronics that work on other Fords and rear axle to be exact. Everything else is up for grabs.

What 2.3L parts are worthy of selling on this forum? I don't call myself pro-five-oh for no reason. I don't know squat about 2.3Ls.I am sure someone would want this hood, that's for sure. :birdsmily:

Yes I would NOT part it out if I felt the car was worth it. Please help me with the parts, I'm not planning on making much $$$, I just wanna share the wealth.

Well if its rust free and only 85k miles, why part it?

Because I've seen better get sped down here. Every car in Houston is rust free...that's not special.

Plus it sat outside for 5 years with two broken windows. (vandals stole the stereo) Its a complete mess. The former owner says he loves the car, but couldn't be concerned with replacing the windows or putting a tarp on it?

Its parts are gonna help my Cougar, my friend's Mark VII and my brother's Mustang...and once we do that, there won't be much left. Not a bad deal for $250.

If you were closer to Atlanta I'd give your purchase price for the body. But shipping wouldn't be worth it.  :-(((

I could use the fog lights and fog light brackets.... and the bumper, but only the bumper if very cheap becasue I can utilize/customize mine for the fogs.

Spare fog light switch

if canyon red interior the front seat/lap belt seat latches,

door side seat belt trim (covers the bolt that holds the seat belt to the door side of the car)
