Title: Strut boots
Post by: 88tbirdproject on April 12, 2008, 09:51:34 PM
Hey everyone, I need some help with my front suspension. I need to know where I can get boots for my KYB GR-2 struts that will work with a coil-over setup.
Mid-way through my project I decided to switch to coil-overs, I also have Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber plates that call for reusing the OEM strut covers, but obviously that won't work now.
Thanks,
Steve.

Look at the circle track stuff (A-1, Coleman, etc).  There are spring covers available that velcro around the springs and act as boots.

Thanks for the information. Another question, how bad is it to run without strut boots? My car won't be a daily-driver and will see limited street use.
