For those of you who remember I Dropped My Pocket... Literally (http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=17634)...
It turns out a couple of weeks (actually, a month and a bit) go by and I am now leaking fuel!
I've traced the leak to either the fuel delivery or fuel return line.
When I originally replaced the fuel lines attached to the in-tank fuel pump, I could not get OEM lines... and as a result, I had to be creative. Apparently I wasn't creative enough.
When I update this thread, I will be able to tell you if it is indeed the return or delivery line...
Until then, anybody know either where I could accquire two new OEM fuel lines (return & delivery), or does anybody have a solution that works when buying aftermarket parts... or do I dare ask.... a creative solution??
Okay, so I finally made it out to the garage and dropped the tank.
It is most definitly the delievery line...    !!!!!!!
Well.... back to NAPA.
Does ANYBODY know where I COULD buy a set of 'replicated' OEM Ford fuel lines???
Hey all,
I seem to be talking to myself on this thread, but hey, I think I got it figured.
There are a type of plastic fuel repair lines (of different end sizes) that I can 'melt' together... it works!!
WoooHooo! Tomorrow I will buy the one last repair line I need, the 5/16".... and it will be done!!
GO COUGAR GO!!!
Hey....!!!!
My own thread!!! All mine!!!! Go ME!!!!!!
Heh, is this a good way to move my overall posts up???:hick: :hick: :hick:
ROFL! When I put it all into reality tomorrow, I'll let myself know how I did :)
:rollin:
Well, it's all reality.
Go Cougar Go!
And in all fairness, I should say, this thread is entirely my own, but not it's sister's thread (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=18924"). And thank ya all there!
Btw, I am still looking for OEM fuel lines! Call it shiznits and giggles.
post w!
j/k. So far you seem to be answering all your own questions thought;)
Lol...... I had the most interesting time learning that nylon fuel repair lines sometimes need more than a mere boiling in water... sometimes, they just need a little convincing...
But I did solve my own problem... even if I do come off sounding like a 'post w'.
LOL
those fuel line repair kits suck to put together. I would have told you to grad some of those air line compression fittings those look like they would be the easy way to get it done. Sorry I didn't see this earlier
What is an 'air line compression fitting'?
