Welp, I've decided the '85 is too far gone to save, so I loaded her up on the trailer tonight.
Man it was a fun car, when I bought it in '99. My first car... This is the car that taught me how to swap drivetrains. Hell I even wleded up all the swiss cheese holes and the A/C openings....
I have been enjoying the XR-7 and T-bird too much to even look at the '85, so it has sat in that same shape for 3 years now. I am sick of it sitting there rotting, so it is going to the junkyard in the sky...
I still have a few things I want to remove this weekend (8.8" diff, all trim and glass, and the TC hood) but it wont take long.
R.I.P...:toilet: :burnout: :(

I feel ya man. My SC Sits in my driveway. I can't let it go yet. Its drive train is perfect (and a beast) and its a sound car . Its got a bad case of cancer underneath. I keep hoping a 92'ish Frame will roll my way and I can swap everything over.

It's always a sad day when another one goes to the yard.
Nice trailer
Is that the silver/blue one that had ground effects?
You have my sincerest condolences, it's always hard to let a loved one go.
That sucks man at least sell the TC hood if its in good shape. Sorry to see it go but i am sure you can find 1 more later on.
No, it just had some panels off that one.. So.. while we say final goodbye to his 85, let's say final goodbye to parts of the 84 as well :hick:.
hey danzajax ya got any more pix of your sc? im interested in em since the one i have now is my first one and ive seen a few that looked really good.
not all of them... you have the fenders, and I still have the front clip and quarter panels off of it, and tiallights, and other misc. parts.
Well that's good news :D
But it's a shame.. both our first cougars, joined as one, off to the junkers.. :(
so when do i get to buy the body kit
hahaha, you could prbably buy another convertible cougar for cheaper then I would ask for the GFX right now.... I have no intentions to sell them, as I am still on the hunt for another nice four eye.
loads the rubberband gun and aims at rj's nipple........
LMAO!
And sorry to see it go :-(, It was loved an cared for though.
Unlike so many fox birds and cats i see just thrown in the graveyard.:mad::mad:
Welp it is done.... I will post up the video and pics later this afternoon.
Got $360 for it...
you can hear the crunch when the forklift hits it... he crumpled the roof!
You video taped it being crushed? thats gonna be painful to watch...
And where did you take it that you got so much for it?
he didnt crush it yet with me there, way to many people bringing cars in. including a guy that drove in this '95 4.6L Cougar:

Should have kept that Mustang 8.8, considering I spent 4 days sandblasting it and and primering and painting it...

Thats sad, I must look away (sniff)
It's pretty much all over wxcept the crying. That's how I felt when the literally drug the blue T-Bird (in the banner) up on the flatbed.I hated to see that car go.I built it from nothing, but,I had to keep telling myself that it'll live on through all of the donated parts that came from it.Ifixyawata took all of the H.O intake harness, fuel lines, computer, everything.Other parts went to other people, and the heart of it all is in my Sport along with the interior, taillights, and more.I still miss that old girl (those aren't tears,I have something in my eye).
