Title: Finally pulled the engine out of the '88 XR-7...with a few other parts
Post by: Sick88Tbird on April 01, 2008, 06:59:11 PM
I finally moved and got around to pulling the motor, T-5, and front suspension out...in one fell swoop...

it was the quickest way i could figure to do it...not necessarily the easiest...my buddy in the truck...well I had to yell at him a few times towards the end.

ENJOY!

We didn't plan on using the Ranger power...hey...it IS a 4.0...lol.  I was about to use an extension cord if we didn't find that stinkin' rope.

So THAT'S how you got it done before I got over there! Impressive... most impressive.

Yeah, that's how it was done...my cousin...a.k.a. the jackman, didn't pull back on the jack handle like I was telling him to...instead he just watches it pen 15 sideways...lol.  When the body dropped, it missed the shift handle by very small fractions of an inch.

My buddy in the Ranger probably would have dragged that car around the whole neighborhood if I hadn't yelled at him to stop so many times...lol.

If you noticed, that wasn't the highest resolution digital camera.  There are a bunch of small imperfections, doors are rotted at bit at the bottoms and it had been hit in the front at one time or another...

I was playing with the stinkin' strut mounts most of the time in that video...I should have left them on the car and just unbolted the struts from them...ended up making my life more of a hassle. lol

Just watching that video again and enjoying a few laughs...I can't stress enough...THIS IS NOT HOW I WORK ON CARS!...unless I'm trying to send them to hell...lol.

" I think thats to much chamber"

That was funny. It is a good way, and nice to see a ranger put to work in unique way.

xr7cat- too much negative camber on driver side and WAY too much caster on passenger side...lmao

5.0bird- yeah, time was of the essence and there was no love loss between me and that cougar...lol.
