Title: Global Flyer landed today!

And i was there for the landing since it took off from my university......i also got myself Richard Branson "owner of Virgin Atlantic" signature on my shirt........and Phil Grassa on the right hand side......who is the Maintenance Crew Cheif........im so  tired waiting on the runway for steve fosset's ass to arrive.....i bet he was even more tired than i am after that flight around the world......didnt get his signature though........he went straight to doctors office for check up!too bad !well atleast im happy.........anybody else following this global flyer mission?

Yeah,  There seemed to be some fear from the observers and the crew when the decision was made to not land in Hawaii.  Think about it "Should I stop for gas or take a 30% chance of taking a dip in the drink to be lost forever?"  The man's got some brass I'll tell ya that.

Did you read about his plane? I read an article in Popular Mechanics - that plane was as delicate as a fly's fart. They didn't even know whether it woould stay together for a full-weight liftoff! It was designed to fly at full weigh only once, and obviously they were not going to waste that one time on a test! Amazing...

So if it's not structurally sound anymore you think they're gonna start auctioning off little bits and pieces :cool:  I'll take the prop.
