what all would need to be changed to fit sn95 mustang spindles to fit an 85 tbird .i know i need the spindles, the disc brakes,calipers,sn95 ball joint or should i get the ford racing a arms.what else did i miss?
Brake lines, and you need to find '94-'95 SN95 spindles, they are the easiest to make work.
How are the '99 Stangs different?
Tie rod mount location (1" lower on the 96-04 spindles due to the lowering of the rack with the adoption of the 4.6) and a slight increase in track width.
You don't need SN-95 ball joints, just about 5/16" worth of spacers under the nut. If you need to replace the ball joints, then use SN-95, but you don't HAVE to replace them to do the conversion.
You will also need 87+ Mustang struts as well, or mod your 85 ones to fit.
Oh yeah, forgot about the strut part, I just used washers on my ball joint under the crown nut, and also to take up the space in between the spindle, and the strut, sorry 'bout that.
