Oh if I had the cash: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-PONTIAC-BANSHEE-XP-833-COUPE-PROTOTYPE_W0QQitemZ380006717274QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380006717274
Lighter, cheaper, and faster than the 'vette (which is why it never saw production)
That car is really cool. Just the idea of a sub-2500 Lb car with a high-reving OHC 6 is cool enough, but that body is very clean. I've always been a fan of this concept.
But boy that's a lot of zeros... :(
Good luck finding parts lol
It look like a mix between a vett and a firebird???
Actually the C3 Vette and the firebird look like this :p
It's just too bad the I6 necessitates that ugly hood bulge.
I wonder if this concept not making it was the final straw that drove Delorean away from GM.
Does the roof come off this thing? The interior shots make it look like it does.
It looks like they did build it. Just not as a Pontiac, and without Opel GT headlights or Firebird tailights.

My Dad would love this car. It has the same Straight 6 his '68 Firebird had. He said it was one of the tallest engines he had ever seen, so I can understand the unfortunate zit up front.
Sweet car #1 reason i hate VETTs GM would not let anyone else do anything nice or nicer than the VETT. Gm could have all kinds of nice things but insted they fight to make everyone hail to the Vett.
Kinda just like what Ford does with the Mustang...
I think it looks better than the Vettes like it. all except the E brake, it looks out of place and the tumor on the hood.
AMEN! SO in out cars HO in the ponies...
No, they built one coupe and one convertible. If I were to actually buy it (if money grew on trees), I'd be a bit curioius why they had interior pictures of the convertible if they are selling the coupe.
Cool, so I'm not the only one who thinks that.
Looks like a Corvette got friendly with an Opel GT.:hick:
