not hard at all. should bolt in
what about wiring and stuff would i be able to keep the fuel injection.
Just make sure you use the trucks oilpan. Other than that it should bolt in. The truck should be carbed too IIRC.
carbed before 1985 for the 302. No 351M/400 after 1982. So it would be either a 300 I6, or 302. If it's a 302, you could drop yers in with the oilpan as stated. You would need to change the wiring for EFI, as well as the fuel tank, fuel lines, etc... It would be easier to swap the intake to make it carbed. If you go carbed, it would be best to swap the distributor and ignition system for an older Duraspark II. That'll eliminate alot of the spaghetti nest under the hood.
alright thanks guys ill let you know how it goes... Im trying to get the guy down on his price.....
Good luck looks like a fun project the wiring is the main thing that might be a pain.
If it has the 300 I6, you will need the frame mounts from a V8 truck. Your also going to need an electric fuel pump.
Surely you could find a better donor vehicle for the engine.
what truck would work the best i am looking for a yard truck at my parents land and dont want to spend alot of money. SO I figured get one with a bad motor at a reasonable price and stick the motor out of my lincoln in it. Kill two birds with one stone get a truck and get rid of the lincoln
You're joking right? It says $1
He wants change for his Washington dammit :)
IF you're thinking of fuel injection FORGET the LSC harness... It's a 15ft bundle of snakes that also incorporates the ABS and ride system... You'd be far better off just to convert the HO to carb...
