I read somewhere that the 3.8s have 1.72 ratio rockers. If I got 16 of them from the junkyard, would they fit my E7TEs?
It's kinda a just wondering thing.

According to Coolcats they will.
The ratio is in fact 1.72, but you'll see more gain out of a set of roller rockers.

If my memory serves me correctly, they will not fit. The bolt that holds them down is a different size than that of a 5.0. It has been a long time since I've looked though.
Next time I go to the U-Pull I'll do a test fit. I realize rollers would be alot more worth while but the coug is a bottom dollar fun car. The SC gets all the expensive parts.
If they go on and make that weazy 5.0 a little umph it would be worth it to me.

I've seen a magazine article saying that you could use ones from a 460. Has anybody here actually done this?
I'm onboard with danzajax. I'd like it to be fast but its just for fun. If something breaks I won't be as pissed off.:D Anywho, I just finished searching coolcats and they only make a reference to 1.6 ratio rockers. What year had 1.72s? I saw alot of MN12's in the jy the other day with 3.8's.
All year 3.8's had 1.72 ratio rockers as far as I know.
Most Ford V8's came with 1.6's
the 460 rocker arms fit the clevelands. also bb chevy rockers fit the 335 and 385 series motors.
