Hey Eric, is there an existing connector in my '88 T-bird Sport for this? A.K.A is it a plug and play install or would I have to do a bunch of wiring? Thanks

You'd need to run a wire over to the computer for the fuel economy. I think everything else is already plugged into the back of your clock. There's an install article on my site about the Tripminder: http://www.coolcats.net/tech/advanced/tripminder.html

I had been watching for one for awhile, but the last two have exceeded 50 bucks.  I'm probably going to have to get one from a junkyard

I just got one for $25. It was included in a bunch of Grand Marquis dash parts. I told the seller to keep the dash parts and just send me the clock :D
