so what do u guys think, do u think it will spoil the spring after some time! i read the thread on springs, and everyone is using from other cars , i just dunno what to go for that is good! i want to put on springs that are comfortable like oem ones, or as near, also i want it lower than it is! i just put in last weekend gabriel struts, coz they were cheap and all 4 oem ones were blown! should i just put on these spring adjusters and save money or wht, im confused!
Also , how good are these and how much will they lower the car, the site doesnt really say!

also how stiff are they..........coz i have a mistubishi mirage , lowered by 1.75 front and rear, stiff suspension....with kyb gr-2 shocks......so i was hoping to lower my t-bird just a little bit, not extreme like my mitsu....! :)
Definatly do not use those. :nono: If you want to lower it you are going to lose the OEM ride quality no matter what you use. I would not trust that site.
I agree. Gotta feeling 1 good pothole would break those suckers loose.
are u talking regarding the adjusters or the springs....can u also elaborate on the quote "8 cyl....etc."....?thanks
huh...ive seen something like that so raise or stiffen the springs but never a compressor. i doubt they would last long.
it doesnt sound like you have anything to lose being as the price is right...(hes giving them to you right?)
I wouldn't doubt the spring clamps. I agree it wasn't a good idea but... :hick:
Yes I have used them before and they are still on my Tbird after about 7 years and no I did not go easy on it. They never broke either.
I will drop the car about 1in or so and make it ride like a lumber truck.
But it will tighten up the suspension.
On the JC whitney website it has Thunderbirds listed as front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. I personally would never buy anything from JC Whitney. If you are going to lower a car do it right and use actual springs, not clamps to compress the springs.
Complete .
Why would anyone even think that that would be the proper way to lower or raise a car?
*sigh*
Ok i think ill go for the srpings, but if i shouldnt go for the suspension techniques from jcwhitney's website then where can i get them from.....also how much does it lower the car by? is it about 1.5" front and back.....hows the ride quality, very stiff, soft?....i believe someone on the forums already had them and then removed them.....if im not wrong! wonder if it is any good! :)
just remember that you usually get what you paid for...
read cool cats... they are compleat and break and or fly off in about a week. i'v take'n springs off these cars about 3x so far and i would never want to keep them under compression with some pos like that for more than it takes to remove and uncompress it.
ok guys i got the picture.....i wont put it on, it was just a thought, no need to cuss.....:) anyways i always preferred springs....!thanks for the help and advices guys!
We went trough this before with me and my car!
