Title: '88 XR-7 Excellent cond. best offer
Post by: JZ1276 on March 11, 2008, 10:11:21 PM
After 13 years of owning my Cougar I've decided to finally sell it and buy a new car. I'd like to find a buyer who can take care of it and not just sell it to some kid around the neighborhood who will beat the shiznit out of it. Everything works down to the cigarette lighter except cruise control and temp/oil gauges
-154k miles -stereo system includes JBL's in the doors, Pioneers in the dash, Kickers in the rear deck all powered by a Sherwood Amp. Box with 2 12" woofers in the trunk powered by a Kenwood Amp. Head unit will be removed prior to selling. -garaged -sunroof -Cobra-R wheels -painted brake calipers/drums (silver) -tranny rebuilt in 2001 -AC / heat works excellent -changed oil every 3 months
Parts replaced within the last year -headlamp switch -alternator -rotors/pads -battery/cables

Why don't you offer a second chance bid to the next highest bidder?
Also you can set up your auction to keep anyone with a feedback of zero from bidding.

why has this not sold yet?
best shape xr7 in a long time with low miles and great everything.
tempting,,,,,,,,very to say the least.
you do know that you are in direct competition with everyone else trying to sell quote unquote "gas guzzlers". Todays report on NPR news says 4 banger auto sales are "sky rocketing".
I would roll it back in the garage. Nothing less than what your asking is worth it.
If you need the room,, thats a different issue. If you need to sell, then the gas issue will prevent you from doing so at this moment in time.
the value is going to become lower due to this just so you know.
Man,, i love that car!!!

I'd love to just let it sit in the garage and not even sell it but I just bought an 08 Charger Daytona Ed. so that car gets the garage.

i keep coming back to look at this,,
why did you replace the freeze plugs?
and...
I know your add says it has been stored well, do you have a pick or two of the underside? preferably up near the lower radiator support and then along the inner rear bumper (metal part)?

replaced the freeze plugs b/c one of a coolant leak. Figured I'd just have them all replaced. I don't have any pics of the underside, but I can take some if you want them.

can you please post up an under the hood shot of some sort. I may be sending you a pm on this. I see there is one bid and your rediculously low reserve was not met.
My son appreciates the car and the interior. Although he is also a fan of the porno red interior, this interior reminds us both of a vintage 66 we found which had the white / blue combo.
