Hey veryone whats up? Im new to this here forum. I got a 81 bird. Ill post sum pics..but im currently swappin ou tthe old run down 255 for a h.o. roller cam 302. Gettin rid of the efi on the h.o. 302 and goin to carb.
I already got  a edlebrock 4 barrel intake, holley 650cfm carb, bbk shorties, gt-40p's..more to come..as of now the motor is getting freshened up so she runs good.

O yeah i was wondering anyone knows how wide of wheels i can tuck in teh front and back without mods? Any fellow members have a 80-82 either?

that is a nice looking box bird. not sure on the wheel width but i know chuckW has a box bird on here.

I don't have a Bird, but I do have an '80 XR-7.

As far as the wheels go, you can go pretty wide, especially in the back.

I have 17x8 94-95 Cobras on mine with 245's on the front and 275's on the rear.  I have plenty of room in the back, even with the wider SVO/Lincoln rear axle.  I imagine you could get 9-10" wide wheels back there depending on the backspacing and axle width, etc.
