Here's a quick shot of mine I just ran out and took. Nothing special, and I need to adjust the hangers and the passenger side is a bit low. Ignore the fact that the car is filthy after the rain we got yesterday (figures, I just washed it on Wednesday) It's 2¼" mandrel bent based on a "universal" kit that required more modification than it was worth, stock mustang headers, and glasspacks with no H/X/Crossover pipe. The glasspacks are fine at ¾ to WOT...but not so nice at most other times, so I'll probably get something else (I've been saying that for months, lol)

I guess its my age telling on me, but when someone mentions sidepipes all I can think of is vans and the 70's.

Spintech makes a catback side exit exhaust for the mustangs that would probably work without too much trouble.

Side pipes are different than a side-exit exhaust.

What are you refering to?

Oh it just depends on the vehicle.  On a vintage 'vette, great:

On an '80s T-bird/Cougar....not so much.

may be wrong ,but side pipes always came out behind the front tire and ran under the rocker pannel usually to infront of the rear tire.most of witch were crome plated. not nit-picken just what i think of when you say side pipes. they do look good on that black mustang though.  :birdsmily:

On Eric's convertible, they are mustang side pipes, and painted to match. They look great on his car. I love side pipes and think they look great, but, it always looks a bit like something is missing when I see no pipes comming out the tail as well. Eric's pipes are body color which is a very nice effect and look on the car. I use to love chrome (still do), but chrome just takes WAY too much time for me to take care of. I doubt I will ever chrome my engine either, but it sure would look nice.
Baxo, got pics of urs somewhere?
