Pretty much any of the shorty headers for a Fox Mustang will fit our cars.I'm using BBK shorties and wouldn't use any other brand.Mine are unequal length with 1 5/8 tubes, going to a Pypes off road X-Pipe.

Oh,there are probably long tubes as well, but I haven't used those on the Sport,so,I can't say which would work best as for as they go.

"Best" depends on what you do with your car...

BBK Shorties "best as far and easy fit just bolt them on" sometimes simple is best.

i have an 83 t-bird with a 351w in it. i run the 5.0 mustang headers  for clearence and easy bolt up. unless your really putting out the hp these will be ok .local junk yard probably has a couple of sets laying around and they should be reasonable. have a couple of pic. on cardomain of them.  use t-bird-mark788 to locate. :birdsmily:

I had Heddman long tube headers on my 87 Sport. One tube on left side rubbed the crossmember, so we notched it to clear. The ragjoint was close.
I'm using stainless stepped headers on the new motor. 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" to 2" and 3-1/2" merge collectors.
