Hehehehe

It'll go 14's with some traction (NEW track surface + NO VHT = LOTS of wheelspin!), the MPH is already there. The MPH-to-HP calculator says 303HP at the flywheel for the weight.

Only mods from stock (stock being a genuine P71 VIN code Interecptor) is the K&N FIPK GenII CAI, the 2.5" cat-back (under-axle) with Flowmaster 40's, and the Superchips out-of-the-box tune.

I still need to flush the coolant, install a 180* T-stat, change the plugs, flush the trans, change the gear oil, put on a new serpentine belt, and get ready to do the brakes (the road race laps showed some weakness there! ).

There's drag racing again in 2 weeks, so I'm going to get all the fluid swaps done and try again (hopefully with some traction). 14's would be nice in a 4150Lb boat!

Very nice Mike,

The guy you were racing sure came on strong to get over 100mph with a 14.849, must have been one of those high reving ricers.

The other car was 12-second GTO with major traction problems (35-series Z-rated road-race tires and a new track and a new driver).

This GTO actually:

I got to drive it too (13.8@103 with a 2.2 60', the tires were NOT suited for drag racing!). He's buying a set of DR's and trying again in 2 weeks.

you could get into the 14's easily with a mach 1 motor. :D

Ahahahaha!! You are correct ;)

Problem is I only have $3500 in the WHOLE car, mods included. So a $5000 engine/trans (while still a great deal) is just a tad outside my budget on this car. :hick:

Looks like a pass by my tractionless 428 Cobra Jet Fairlane... Though I could generally get into the 14.2s...

My 2002 CV LX Sport ran a 15.8 @ 90 bone stock.

Of course, it cost me $27,000 though...

Hey, no shame in that man. I wish I could afford a new car. :burnout:

That dont sound bad for a stock 4200 lb full size full frame etc, with what, 230hp?

Though they really should have just thrown the 3v in the sports when 05 came around.

For comparison, Marauders run around 15.0 stock I believe.

Yup.  235 horse and I weighed about 250 at the time.  I could beat stock Marauder's as long as it wasn't a real long race.  I had the low-end torque on the 4V cars.  And yes, they should have put the 3V in them.  Sometimes Ford is just dumb.  But as long as I work for them (not much longer-buyout), I gotta buy 'em...:D
