i detune it somewhat with a smaller cam .but it still holds it own pretty darn good. :birdsmily: i was surpized the weight didn't hurt the handling any. i did use one spring rubber spacer in the front on each side. its my toy mostly as my dd is a 88 mark 7. all on americanmuscleregistry.com  as bad-ve-6  :birdsmily:

That is what I asked...

I saw it was said to be an '83, but the rear end was '86.  Then I checked the other clues and figured that's what you did.  Not my choice, but whatever works.

Oops! :hick:  Howd'ya know the difference? I think I see a vacuum advance unit there? That it? All I know is the casing and the cap look exactly like mine, and everyone else's 5.0's original one I would imagine.

Guess I dont know when they switched over. My cousin's '85 Grand Marquis has TFI..? *heads to coolcats*

Welcome to the board!

Nice ride you have there.

I have owned (2) 1983 Heritage T-Bird models and both had vent side windows.

I still have the very first Fox T-Bird I ever bought (an 83 Heritage).

Some day I want to paint it.

Alan
