i believe that is called false advertising :hick:
yes :D i just changed the motor and not the plates ,any car guy or gal that hears it will know.just can't tell a book by its cover huh.:birdsmily:
So..you changed the taillights and added the 3rd brake light?
Looks like you had your work cut out for you.
Nice.
Is it a Heritage?
looks really good!!
bet the 351 is muccccch more fun then the 6!
WOW what a beautiful birdie! Love seein the modern TFI electronic ignition dizzy, along with an old-school carb air cleaner lol. All in Ford Blue too. Awesome.
Son you are confused.. That is a Duraspark Dizzy.
no 3rd brake light was factory. didn't like the 83 tail ligths so i put 86 in.
yes it is. i think they came with vent windows and the other models didn't,is that right or not?
i detune it somewhat with a smaller cam .but it still holds it own pretty darn good. :birdsmily: i was surpized the weight didn't hurt the handling any. i did use one spring rubber spacer in the front on each side. its my toy mostly as my dd is a 88 mark 7. all on americanmuscleregistry.com as bad-ve-6 :birdsmily:
you have a mark 7 as well? my mark is gonna be my first car, then have a 351w powered 66 mustang coupe
good luck with the birdy! I love the old four eyes!
Nice car.You do good work.I like all of that blue under the hood.
That is what I asked...
I saw it was said to be an '83, but the rear end was '86. Then I checked the other clues and figured that's what you did. Not my choice, but whatever works.
Oops! :hick: Howd'ya know the difference? I think I see a vacuum advance unit there? That it? All I know is the casing and the cap look exactly like mine, and everyone else's 5.0's original one I would imagine.
Guess I dont know when they switched over. My cousin's '85 Grand Marquis has TFI..? *heads to coolcats*
i used whatever parts i could come up with as i have a shoe string budget. block was a 73, heads 69, intake aftermarket, oil pan ? lincoln aod, ect. but it does run good.
Welcome to the board!
Nice ride you have there.
I have owned (2) 1983 Heritage T-Bird models and both had vent side windows.
I still have the very first Fox T-Bird I ever bought (an 83 Heritage).
Some day I want to paint it.
Alan
