It's not too bad if the 2 attachment bolts aren't rusted. I suggest you coat the bolts with PB blaster a few days before. Then when you go to remove them, coat them really well with oil. That will keep the threads from galling.  Jack the rear of the car up on jack stands. I used a floor jack to slowly lower the tank down, just enough to access the supply and return fuel lines.  I rested the tank on blocks while I disconnected the fuel line, pump power, fuel sender wire, and tank vent. Once it's all disconnected just clean the top of the tank really well before removing the pump, you don't want dirt in your tank.  Let me know if you need anymore help, I just installed a 155 LPH pump in my car this past summer.

Yep,easy stuff. The bolts for my tank straps are really nice,no rust, and I dropped the tank, swapped the pump, and re-installed everything in less than half an hour. It's not hard at all.

Thanks guys, tank is empty, gas light is on so there can't be but a couple gallons, which should give me enough to get to my brother-in-laws shop to get on the lift. We are putting my gear(3.73) in also.
Can you tell any difference with the 255 pump in? I know i will with the gear!

You can hear the pump when the tank is low on gas.....You need an adjustable regulator with a 255 as well otherwise the fuel pressure will creep up at idle.  The stock regulator diaphram cannot handle the volume of gas pushed out by a 255 pump.

Kerosene based (aviation grade) and diesel are close to 7 lbs/gallon.
Regular gas varies between 6.2-6.5 depending on octane, ambient temperature and ambient pressure.

I just used an air nibbler and cut the panel in the trunk.

makes it way easier to have a removable panel. 5min fuel pump changes

Unless you have a super charger or turbo, a 255Lph is totally unnecessary... Even the Super Coupes only used a 95Lph...
