FINALLY!
I finally welded these bad boys in today....ZOMG!! Never again will I own a fox without them. I put in a set of Kenny Brown ones I had bought last year that were waiting. Pics tomorrow!!!
Also Had to install a new fuel line......OOPS!:flame:
sweet ...im trying to fashion some other ways to strengthn vert some more ..it already has the masive sub conectors on it from the convertion....
I got some UPRs for $45 still need to get them welded on did it really help that much?
yes, they really help that much.
I didn't really notice that big of a difference when I did mine...
it is cool that you can jack up one whole side at time with sfc's, though.
Me neither. Its hard to tell whats real and what is in your head.
Subframes = solid feeling car.
must not be drivin hard enough
If you can't feel the difference in a Fox after adding SFC's you must be pretty numb. It's apparent as soon as you would drive the car off the lift.
I've noticed it just moving the car around in the yard. Absolutely no creaks or moans or clicks when going over uneven ground. Can't wait to get behind the wheel come spring and see how it handles with the SFC's and CHE rear arms...
i like to lift one rear corner of my car until the front tire on the same side comes off the floor, then open and close the doors like the car is standing flat on the ground :D
dont try this at home:

Notice my new fuel line in pic #3..... I zip tied it to hold it in place with everything else...Hafta put a finish coat of paint on. I painted the areas I zapped the zinc off of so it could be welded and did the welds too.
I'm in 100% agreement on this. It actually gives a smoother ride on nice smooth pavement. Potholes are telegraphed a bit more which I expected. I wasn't expected the car to smooth out the way it did on good roads though. An added bonus!
ah, the memories.
lookin good!
Well I drive it pretty hard, it does feel a bit more solid than it did, but it wasn't a night and day difference, I dunno.
Maybe all the noise the freakin' suspension makes threw me off.
This is one mod I look forward to finishing. Not starting, but finishing.
Dumb early mouring ? its 2:23am here so would two sets welded in of SFC be better than one?
I can do that with mine...but it also has a cage ;)
I do plan on implementing your through-floor SFCs in the '80. Hopefully I'll have time this summer/fall. It's pre-Job 1 and has 4" more of wheel base....and you can tell.
Carpimp...just install one good set....
the 6point is in mine in that pic as well. the jack is actually under the foot plate of the main hoop, works great that way ;)
you will probly be a lil short on material for the 80(you were talkin about the 84 when i sold ya that tubing). i would cheat the front a bit on each side to make up for that 4"
it will still be
plenty of SFC
Yep. It is not a particularly fun job. Especially when you keep running out of welding wire as I did.
Looking good Paul who did the welding for you.
cant wait to do it my self, I’m probably looking to try it on the side of my house.was it simple enough.
This kid I know. I just paid for the gas in the welding tank;)
I don't think it will help the handling of your house very much just to do one side. Maybe box the house.
Forgive me. I couldn't help myself.
Got my UPR sub frame connectors for $45 and got them installed "welded in" for $50 not bad for under 100 bucks. One of the best mods by far you can do for these cars.
My SFCs are worth their weight in gold to me. I love them.
How much does a set of SFC's run?
Didn't you answer that yourself 2 posts before you asked the question?
SFC=
Sub-
Frame
Connector
