What's the state of the rear defrost? As my car is still being painted, the glass *might* be off the car, I'd have to check. My glass is good, but the rear defrost has been in bad shape for years.

There is one other thing I could really use: the front inner bumper (the fiberglass part). Mine is cracked, and since the nose is still off the car this would be the perfect time for a swap.

They work fine. The rear window is tinted and in good condition

The bumper is trash and all body parts but the rusty doors are trashed too.

Bummer. Could've used that bumper :(
I've never been a fan of aftermarket tinted windows, unfortunately. On some cars they can look good, but they've never been my cup of tea.

Bummer. Could've used that bumper :( (once upon a time, in a dark and stormy night, mine gave a love tap to a Porsche 944 a little too hard)
I've never been a fan of aftermarket tinted windows, unfortunately. On some cars they can look good (esp. on a black car), but they've never been my cup of tea. With my silver paint I think it wouldn't look good at all.

Give me a day before you go to the trouble. I'll call the body shop tomorrow and ask if my window is off the car or not, and if so how long they expect it to stay that way. How close are you to Delaware county (I-95)? In the meantime I'm searching the forum for a pic of your car when it was whole so I can see what the window looks like now ;)

Cool. If I go for it I'll probably want to get it after work one day this week, as I work at the Boeing plant on I-95.

Okay. I'll ask the guy at the body shop about tint removal. From Googling it looks like it's risky and complicated, but possible by a professional. Will see if it's worth it.

I called up today and asked. My glass is still on the car (they never removed it), and they're getting ready to mask the car for painting. So I'm going to have to pass on it (that's why I didn't want you going to the trouble to pull the tint). Maybe someone else has a use for it?

FYI, you should be able to remove the tint w/out damaging the defrost.    Usually, the problem is making it stick.
