Title: What color is the gray on the center console?
Post by: thunderjet302 on January 26, 2008, 04:39:00 PM
So any body know if there is any paint close to that color? The ashtray door on mine is chipped a bit and I'd like to touch it up.

Maybe the color you want is Dark Regatta Blue.

Nope. All of the "black" that's the same in all of the interiors is Ford Dark Charcoal. SEM markets the OEM dye in spray cans (along with the regular interior colors). For the painted metal parts (such as said ashtray door) you may want to try a high-quality semi-gloss black. Actual Dark Charcoal paint is hard to find (in spray cans/brush paints at least).

Big can is the grey color used on the dash pad, arm rests, console  etc.
1983 Charcoal, code 33P

The small cans are paint and dye for the ashtray, instrument cluster trim panel etc.
1986 Dk Regatta Blue, code 4184
