I posted a question about shutting up my fan by putting in an electric one and someone suggested a mark VIII fan but that i might have to convert something to 3 G WTF is that?

A 3G is a new-generation Ford alternator. If you'e got a 5.0 you can use a 3G from a '94-'95 Mustang. The 130-amp 3G is almost twice as powerful as the stock 75-amp unit originally in your car. Your original alt would be a 2-G (if internally regulated) or 1-G if externally regulated.

That would be the alternator. The 3G is a 130 amp unit.

Thanks guys i had already planned on getting a better alt for my stereo and underbody LEDs
