Title: coils
Post by: daminc on January 19, 2008, 03:05:37 PM
Is it just me, or are others having problems with cylinder coils on newer motors.

I've gone through 2 in the last 3 months on my E-250.

Ive been working my way down the odd numbers.
#7 in November and #5 3 weeks ago. I only seems to happen when it rains really bad. So far they give me a warning sign by misfiring randomly before they die. The only problem is the computer doesn't store a code until it dies completely, and on a van its a pain to try to troubleshoot because of the lack of working space. so now I just let them die and the computer tells me which one to replace.
