Ok I really want a Turbo Coupe bumper on my Cougar. I've found one and its cheap. Looks like the only problem is the cutout for the grill right? Well has anyone tried to graft the top of a cougar bumper to a turbocoupe bumper? :hick:
I'd imaging you need some Plastic weld for that to work. Or a complicated array of fiberglass and bondo.
Or you could just cut some off the top of the grill.
Cougarman's put a TC bumper on and adjusted for the Cougar grill, and it looks good. I'm sure he'll chime in. :ies:
here's a pic of mine. The trick is that pice of metal, that uns under the bumper cover and bolts to the header panel. The TC one is straight and the Cougar one has a dip in it, use the Cougar one. :D
Cougarman, that is the look I want! But it looks like the grill is pushing down the bumper top.
Lowcat I see what you mean buy cut the TOP of the grill. Move it up so the bottom is flush with the headlights.. Now I like that.
Keep the ideas flowing,
Also is the rear bumper differn't. I'll ask here, but i'm gona see what I can find in the way of pics.
Rear bumper is the same. I didn't like the gap under the headlights, so I modified the bumper cover to fit on top of the header panel. That's why the grille is pushing the cover down in the middle. :D
