Title: Need help/advice
Post by: thundr306 on January 09, 2008, 09:43:11 PM
Here's a quick parts rundown that are in question: Mustang k-member, flaming river manual steering shaft and equal length shorty headers.

The problem: the pinch bolt/nut and lock pin are rubbing the header.

Possible fixes: 1: make spacers to go between the motor mounts and k-member. I am assuming that the 3/8" plates between the k-member and frame dropped the motor the same amount and put the header too close to the steering shaft. 2: spacers between the motor mounts and block. Probably a bad idea. 3: see if there is any way to get some movement in the steering column and keep it there.

I am hoping that the third one works out. Anyone have any experience?

Thanks
Jim
