This is how it looks:D I'm not using the HO intake plaque but something I'm still working on. I just used it for the pics so the other one will be secret untill it's done;) It took a ton of sanding and grinding to smooth out the stock casting plus 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of paint for the shine:D

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Even though you're not going to use it, I think that plaque looks good too. Hey, you should start a business doing intakes like that. I'd give you $20 to do one. :D
Nice job.I know what you mean about stripping them.I took a while as well before I polished mine.Insane amount of work.Again, nice work there.
Are you saying this ones for practice?
And
That vacuum line we were talking about on my motor-where is it
No it's not pratice I'm using the intake on my T-bird. The intake plaque/cover plate is one I had sitting around. I'm making a special custom one for the intake. I just put the HO one on for the pics ;)
As for the vacuum fitting see here:D : http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=17493
It's interesting,It is what you make of it!
Nice though.
I made a custom one of a kind plate for mine as well.Dish out a few details of the one you're making.
All I'll say is that it involves a snake;) . I'm waiting for something to come in so I can finish it.
A snake?Must be a Cobra. Can't wait to see it.I used a Cobra on my intake.I think it looked "right".
Perhaps. ;)
I'm waiting for the *snake* so I can finish the plate. It's on back order:hick:
C'mon,Man.You can tell me.I won't tell anyone.
Wait for the pics like everyone else lol. :D It should be done in a week or two when the part shows up. It's not like what you did on yours (which is really cool by the way:D ). I think you'll like it ;)
Alright, fine.Have it your way.I'LL WAIT !!! I love this stuff. One of a kind stuff is cool. When someone (myself included) makes something cool from factory stuff,I dig it.
I love the "Kenmore" logo...We all know who we are talking about......

BTW... When did a Exploder intake become a GT-40??? Yes I know the lowers are the same for all practical purposes, BUT that doesn't change the upper...
I took my Explorer intake and made it into a "one of none" Cobra intake. It's mine and I can do what I want with it.LOL.I'm still waiting for pics of the intake plate.
Ok I should have said GT40 style since it's not a GT40 tubular;)
Stupid part I need is still on back order. :hick:
I would LOOOOOVE to know the history on this one!!!
I wasn't brave enough to use one that said "Speed Queen" :D
Good call.LOL.
Where the hell did ya get that one? :hick:
Truth be it known I've never had a plate that said Speed Queen... Just a joke I used on my freinds, since Kenmore and SQ are both washing machines... The Kenmore plate came from a furnace we junked at work, thought what the Hell...
I have the correct Cobra plate on that intake now...
