Hello!
Last Saturday I was messing up with the trunk lid torsion bars. Suddenly I noticed something that I haven't noticed there for last few years. There's a misterious plug hanging down there teamed with speakers wiring, do you know what is it for?
Thanks!
that would have been for a factory Equalizer.
Equalizer or amp?
I dunno, amp plug has about 12 wires(there is one in my car)... Don't think you could get a EQ without the amp...
Looks to be on the pass side and the amp and keyless entry is on the drivers side on my '87/88'
post up the colors.
I zoomed in on the pics but cant make out some of the tracer colors. Ill look at my evtm for you tomorrow.
The wires colors are: #1: green/orange #2 & #3: sky blue/light pink #4 pink/light yellow (lime?)
Can I connect there something cool? :D
Just to refresh the thread... is it interesting plug or not worth any knowlege?
the location and colors match up to 1 of the plugs on the factory "amp" (not sure how it amps without a power input???) on my 85 T-bird with premium sound (No equilizer). I'm guessing it's been hiding on you and suddenly decided to jump out and scare ya!
Update... I guess if I pay attention, the other plug for the amp has the yellow wire (12 V) and black wire (GRND)... I guess THAT's where the power is coming from...
mine has that same wire, only theres a box type relay plugged into it.
ill take a pic of it tomorrow, I'm pretty sure it was hanging off of the stereo harness.
(i have premium sound, no EQ)
Does it indicate my T-bird may have Premium Sound Sustem wiring? What would be this relay for?
