I was thinking the same thing when a team from NORTH CAROLINA won the NHL Championship.

Nice!

It helps when 13 of your 27 players are Canucks. :hick: To be fair, someone needed to show the Carolinas what ice looks like, and Canada is closer than Russia.

Oh no I agree with you man. I am from Vermont lol. When I was living in NC it seemed people knew they actually had a team ONLY when they were in the championship.

and actually to be fair to NC that is all they get is Ice lol. hardly any snow its that mix area.

Vermonters are good Hockey players too :P UVM always has a high ranking college hockey team or at least they did in the 90's

There are a lot of great players coming from the border towns on both sides.

Our side just seems to be that little bit greater. Like how 4 is greater than 1. ;)

OMG - that was the best rivalry ever. I am so pissed that the rivalry has died pretty much with the expansion of the league.

For some of us, the rivalry stays true in our hearts. :shakeass: I still get pangs of joy and pain depending on how a Montreal/Boston game turns out.

i don't follow hockey much b/c i RARELY EEEVVVVVEEEEERRRR see it on TV, and i have dish and my parents have DTV (they don't have anything but the cheapest package tho) and i only see the occasional classics game (espn classics)  but i have notice a huge rise in state teams, like city vs city (and I'm in Georgia) I've been thinking about checking one of these games out b/c if the NHL is circling the drain for the most part these minor league (right) teams have prolly got some good talent.  what do you guys say?
