Okay, I am looking for some different seats for the Bird. Has anyone changed theirs out and what did you go with? I want something lighter and I thought about the ones in Summit for 189.00 but I was worried they would be too tall. Have any pics of yours?

what type of seats do you have in mind? drag race? sport driving?

i swapped my stockers out for a pair of saleen recaros. quite a bit lighter than the originals(driver power) and more bolster to boot.

No particular style of driving. Just tired of the seats I have now. They used to be high backs until I cut the tops off. I want something a little shorter than the style you have. I like em but it would drive the wife crazy trying to look aroung them. She has already expressed concern for looking around the 3.5 in cowl hood.

Did you use the stock seat tracks or make your own? That is another concern for me and the next seats I get

recaro single lock tracks on custom brackets.

i need to look into some double lock tracks...

Do you have any pics of the custom brackets? This is something I will have to figure out for whatever seat I get I guess

I have thought about Mustang seats. I have some I could use from my 92 Coupe but wanted to lose a little weight also. Its hard to tell form the pic but what steering wheel is that? I need to replace mine as it is crumbling apart daily.

Those don't look bad. Whats the price and how tall is the back? I suppose I could look it up..but, if you have the measurements...

the website i went to is http://inlinefour.com/racingseats.html. they have recaro racing seats and bride and some other brands to in all different colors and styles to fit your idea for a seat.
