You can feel something fall over in a box truck, you'll definitely feel something that weights 3500ish pounds fall off the back.

Qoted from his discription of what happened: "he made a stop in Jax when they noticed hey there's a trailer but no car... "
on this "stop" they made, what did they stop for? Dinner? Did they notice the car gone on they way in to whatever they stoped at or on they way out? Could somebody have stolen it off the trailer while they were in the restraunt, convience store, whatever the stop was? and made a clean get away before they came out.
Then they wouldent have "Felt" it fall off the trailer and may have not been real sure if they saw it on there when they went in. (got out of the truck and waled arround the front not paying any attention to the car on the trailer)

?? just guessing

Last time I was in the wrecking yard looking at some cars that were completely demolished I noticed that there were no blood stains. In fact, I dont think I've ever noticed any.

So.... what happens to the blood?

Does it just wash out and fade away with the rain and sun in the wrecking yard or is it cleaned out?

I guess it depends on the injury.
i would bet that most would be internal. like head injury or crushed organs

well after a day or so it turns into mold after the mold  dies off it turns brown and then finally it turns black and looks like ssome one sprayed soda of coffey every where .....so always be carfule when mesing with a wrecked car

Is it wrong that I don't give a rat's ass about the Viper or Chevy truck but feel bad about an 87-88 Cougar being junked?

That Viper would make a kick-ass swap donor, though. V10 Cougar anyone? :D

Hit it so hard it turned into a Chevy/GMC ;)

An 18-wheeler can be just as effective as a train, as the unfortunate driver of this Mazda found out the hard way:

So was the hood and right fender. The only two panels on the car not bent. God I kick myself for wrecking that car - it had 80k miles on it and was a low option 5.0 car (A/C, power windows and mirrors but no cruise control or power seats or locks). And it looked SO ED HOT with those slot wheels...

Tho on closer inspection the driver's mirror does look broken (I honestly don't remember)...

here's a sad day.
This car was my moms. She was going to give it to me when I got my license. It got totaled right where it sits, in front of our house one night. the driver of the other car fell asleep and hit it at about 70mph.
This was the start of the need for a cougar.

This is the only car i've ever totaled.  the only reason was i totaled it after it was paid off and its a hyundai so it wasnt worth as much as the work that it needed.  the dent on the hood on the right side was from the exhaust of a ford focus.  his ass was in the air my nose was burried in the ground when we impacted.  i got knocked senseless just by the air bags going OFF, only injury was a burn on my wrist and busted knuckles (left hand was on the wheel, just about to take it off, and the right hand was on the shifter) the bag blew my hand off the wheel and the impact sent my hand into the dash.  to make a long story shorter, he jumped in the left lane to pass a truck that was turning into a driveway on a 4 lane, and then jumped back in and slammed the brakes. no one was in the left lane infront of him, he still rearended the SUV too, it made no sense.  the airbags freaked me out, i dont ever want a car with them ever again.  btw, the first thing the first cop to arrive said to me was "where is the other vehicle" but the kid didnt get charged with leaving the scene BULL ISH.  btw nose was crunched down and the damage was worse than the pics show (windshield, airbags, whole front clip)

Looks like a bone-stock AMC Gremlin to me :hick:

While were showing off wrecks, here's what's left of my buddy's '85 T-Bird after he came over a blind crest and found a drunk driver on the wrong side of the road bearing down on him at ~55MPH. Note the undamaged hood - between this car and my Cougar we were beginning to think these hoods were indestructible:

They must be. My first T-Bird was a 87. It washiznit HARD in the left side by a 1997 Firebird. Destroyed the entire front of the car, but the hood was perfect.

I think the same about the hoods. When my dad washiznit driving his inmaculate 84 cougar in 1999, even rear end got busted, all the door panels were trashed, but guess what, i still have that hood without any rust !!! maybe it was some luck, because the front end flew away INTACT and is which my car has !!!

Well,  here is a photo of my cougar, which has not been repaired since Oct of 2005. Pretty fixable, i know, but i dont have experience in bodywork.

The hoods arent untouchable i had a two tone gray 86 cougar 5.0 for my second car met the fornt of a parked pickup at 30 or so hood crumpled up like it wasnt there. I have pics but no scanner I will try to get them on here to show these hoods can be damaged...Hurt my knees when they hit the dash hurt the elbows cause i locked my arms and hurt the back cause i have a bad back to begin with... Funny part of the story is I drove that car around for 6 months with no insurance and no reg.. the day after I made it legal i totalled it...

The engine in my buddy's green '85 T-Bird shown above didn't die either, he had to turn it off. Rather remarkable since the oil filter busted off and the water pump pulley disintegrated. He hit the Cavalier so hard his eyeglasses had wet circles on 'em from where his eyeballs touched 'em.

So tell me... how the hell do you hit the front end of a parked truck? You don't even get any bonus points for hitting a moving target :hick:

Post by: cougar1car on January 24, 2008, 04:04:41 PM
I was coming around the corner a few hundred feet back form where this truck was parked the lady on the corner used to let her wash water out into the street. I came around a little too fast i guess and the car started swerving back and forth instead of trying to stop (like a dumbass) i figured id save it. Wwell it got worse so it was swerve to the right and jump the curb into a party that was going on in front of the house (where atleast 30 people were) across the street from the truck or hit the truck. So I decided to swerve left and get between the bushes and the truck.  Well I didnt make it I hit the truck and pushed it like 8 feet. Motor didnt die you just heard the fan hitting the radiator. Worst part is my buddies house was at the othjer end of the street I was going to drop the car off and use his minivan to drive around. He was right behind me when I did this.
