Title: front struts, rear shocks?
Post by: 84foxbird on December 27, 2007, 08:30:10 PM
was wondering if anyone had some insight on this.  i am ready to order my struts-shocks and i'm looking at the lakewood's.  i have sn-95 front spindles and was wondering if i should get the struts for a sn-95 or a fox chassis .  also same for the rear, they have different part numbers.  i have the D&D coil over kit for the front and turbo coupe springs for the rear.

The spindle mounts are different between Fox and SN-95. I'm sure it's *possible* to adapt one to fit the other, whether or not it's worth the effort is another matter.

Is this for straight-line racing?

Mustang rear shocks are too short to work on a Tbird/Cougar, no matter what year.

To use Mustang rear shocks you will need a set of my handy dandy rear shock adapter brackets (http://"http://foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=12919") as Mustang shocks are too short to work on a Tbird/Cougar, no matter what year.

Fixed. :D

BTW, if Chuck is all out for the season, I have a set along with some Megabite Jr. RLCAs if your interested... The mounts were modified for the arms relocation brackets so I would like to keep them together.
