1 how tight is the cable supposed to be?



I tried to hook up my cable but alas, it was too short! wtf? anyone else have this problem?

does your pedal have the adjustment on it?  make sure that you are at the begining of your adjustment before trying to hook up the cable.  from what I remember of hooking those up the do fit kinda tight.

mines very tight. talkin 1 inch before i can get to the clutch fork lol

I used the FRPP adjustable cable with a firewall adjuster and there is probably only a little over an inch of therads through the clutch fork. The non-adjustable cable was about 2" too short.

I had the same issue, but I'm using an experimental quadrant. I only have to push the pedal about an inch. The nut at the end of the cable only has about two thread pitch sticking out. Next time I have the tranny out (Lord forbid that I have too) I'm going to replace the pivot ball and fork.
