Post by: turbo88 on December 16, 2007, 06:33:18 PM
I have been looking at a turbonetics used t3/t4 the guy has been trying to sell locally for months. it has a 4 bolt exhaust housing, is it possible to switch it for a 5 bolt ford pattern off a used t3 turbo?

I would double check what he has before you get it. If is it a T3-T4 hybrid it should have a T3 rear end and a T4 front side. I'm not an athority on this but my T3-T4 hybrid came with the factory style outlet on it. I had to rework the intake tubing because the front was different.

Hybrids come with all kinds of turbine housings on them, 4-bolt is actually pretty common.

Anyway, to answer your question- Yes, just find out what stage the turbine wheel is. Probably Stage III. You can get a .48 or .63 stage III turbine housing, with a Ford 5-bolt outlet, from lots of places. I think they run around $220 or so.
