I *think* it should have a 50oz imbalance. IIRC 81 and up 302s use the 50 oz imbalance (where as the 80 and down use the 28 oz imbalance).

Just wondering but are you beefing up the 5.0 at the same time? A stronger motor + the T5 would be fun :burnout:
Title: Well, slowly but surely (up and running)
Post by: Clayton on December 14, 2007, 04:01:18 PM
its beefy, but the summer will make it beefier, if not then then ill haveums me a winter project :D

The AOD sucked, so... it'll be a different beast with the t5

The more I see this done, the more I think I need to do a 5 speed conversion. Now,I need to check under the cushions on the couch for spare change.I'll take donations.

By the way,I'm getting a little jealous here.I need a new garage to work in.You're doing what I need to be doing.

everything has been easy. only thing that gave me some trouble was the carpet, thats the part when you need 2 people...

Oh and vinnie... its a 3 1/2 bay garage with heat propane and Kerosine

What no tue-tone? ;)

I like mine but my color combo is one of the best tue-tone combos. The brow one was a little, uh, off base on these cars. Should look kick ass when you're done. I'm interested to see how that color is going to look on it. Are you keeping the chrome grill or going to a TC header panel?

I've got the diff installed in mine, along with about everything else. It's the tranny I want to do now. Thanks for the motivation. The parts are pretty easy to find aon Ebay. The tranny is the expensive part that will hold me up.With a senior and a 6th grader, funds for the Sport are on the back burner when it comes to these kind of things.I'll start hunting and gather parts one piece at a time unless I find a good local parts Stang that would like to donate.Once the weather gets nice,I'll sell my extra parts to fund the project, plus,I have a great AOD with a shift kit to sell afterwards to help gain back a little cash.

Well, note to self, dont do that again lol

I bought some cheapo Flowtech headers # 12104

ooooh boy were they fun. Got muh springs installed, gotta drill holes for the o2's and run the exhaust to finish up the upper half of the car. I need to buy a set of chuckie motormounts, my driverside one went to hell. uhm i had so many problems with the headers, but they look sooooo nice tucked right under the car :D now the saga continues. After tomorow ill have the weekend to work on her. im hoping to have the axles and get the rear back where its sopposed to be.

goal for sunday is to hear it run. corked or uncorked either way.
