Well, me and my buddy stared the transformation... but i only have one pick-a-ture.
Cool you're doing the no steering conversion :hick:
Grrr Im so jealous. I've been wanting to do that one for a long time. Free is just too much for me too afford though, friggin college dammit!!!!!! :(
hey louis, at least im doing it. :P
yeah, im not sure I have the right flywheel... its got E1 in the casting number.
Yeah free is expensive. If only I could afford it on my college budget:hick:
Back on topic. I see three pedals. Some one is getting a T5 :burnout:
Clayton , So far all work but in the end their will be plenty of play to come in the near future, can't wait to see your :birdsmily: when it gets transformed.
I *think* it should have a 50oz imbalance. IIRC 81 and up 302s use the 50 oz imbalance (where as the 80 and down use the 28 oz imbalance).
thats what im thinkin but coolcats says 84+ because roller vs non
oh yeah, much more than a t-5 :D
somthing else with a 5 in it is comming soon also.
T56 ;)
i wish, but no.
T45?
3.55's?
dont make us guess, please
3.55's and 5lug, bullit springs... and maybe at CJ some waffle stars

yay, interior is almost done
so whats the medal from?
You might want to cut a hole in the carpet ;)
My girlfriend is a swimmer, and she placed 1st in regionals.
uh, HURRR:hick: Never thought of that.
Just wondering but are you beefing up the 5.0 at the same time? A stronger motor + the T5 would be fun :burnout:
its beefy, but the summer will make it beefier, if not then then ill haveums me a winter project :D
The AOD sucked, so... it'll be a different beast with the t5
I forget but what have you done to the 5.0 in it? I know you rebuilt it but I forgot what you did to upgrade it :D
not worried about the motor thats in it :D
you should be worried about the block on the stand :D
Im planing a buildup of a 331 with a lunati cam PORTED E7's (I hogged the f*ck out of these)
Nothing major.... for the first $3000 saved up :D
Someone say boost?
Ah should be fun. Just don't blow up the trans ;)
The more I see this done, the more I think I need to do a 5 speed conversion. Now,I need to check under the cushions on the couch for spare change.I'll take donations.
By the way,I'm getting a little jealous here.I need a new garage to work in.You're doing what I need to be doing.
everything has been easy. only thing that gave me some trouble was the carpet, thats the part when you need 2 people...
Oh and vinnie... its a 3 1/2 bay garage with heat propane and Kerosine
lucky... My car would be done if i had a garage. Its buried under snow right now...
money is my only hinderance. kerosine is 3.99 a gallon
!!! I guess so! With a garage that big must suck to heat. My grandfather has a nice old gas heater running off his house set up, heats up NICE. Wish I could get my car there!
just a little bit
you! I would kill for a 5 speed.
When ya gonna paint 'er?
after the n/a motor gets built
Cool, have you narrowed down your choices for the color?
No! the hidden shifter adds extra power, its the only way the NOS stickers work on our cars
Yeah. My cousin owns a body shop up north of where I live and Im gonna get him to mix up a color called Midnight Red.
So dark red that it looks black.
What no tue-tone? ;)
I like mine but my color combo is one of the best tue-tone combos. The brow one was a little, uh, off base on these cars. Should look kick ass when you're done. I'm interested to see how that color is going to look on it. Are you keeping the chrome grill or going to a TC header panel?
chrome grill... maybe body color... im definatly gonna go outside the box with it.
and it might get tu toned... depending on what i do with the hood :D
I have one that I'm making right now that is different.... I cant use it so let me know and ill give you the run down on my plans as of now
nah im good thanks anyway!

LOL oh no! Finned "Powered by FORD" valvecover pictures! NO NO!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!! The horror the horror! :hick:
The change was in '81 PERIOD...
There were no roller motors till the '85 models...
Tom
thanks for the clarification man
Is the on your shifter from a Hurst Auto shifter?
prolly.
im gonna be getting a white pool ball soon. :D
Nice:D
Now if you could find an 8 ball...........;)
old vs new... you know what ones what lol
Update, only thing holding me up other than my job is the fatch that I need some new axelshafts
sonofabitch... it never ends lol
They say Drive-By-Mind is where current technology is heading.
great so not only are we going to have stupid people driving but now they get to pass it on to their cars.... great
no pics or any progress updates yet, but i do have some good info
The axels will be comming soon, i have new headers on their way, and ive got a cool idea for the exhaust that youre all gonna have to wait for. Gonna try and put the interior back together tomorow and re-arrange the ge-rage.
That did it,I'm going to start collecting 5 speed parts as money allows. If my kids would hurry up and leave I could have everything I need a lot faster.
Its gone pretty easy. for the front half of the swap... im just hung up on the rear at the momento. but that will soon follow. :D
I've got the diff installed in mine, along with about everything else. It's the tranny I want to do now. Thanks for the motivation. The parts are pretty easy to find aon Ebay. The tranny is the expensive part that will hold me up.With a senior and a 6th grader, funds for the Sport are on the back burner when it comes to these kind of things.I'll start hunting and gather parts one piece at a time unless I find a good local parts Stang that would like to donate.Once the weather gets nice,I'll sell my extra parts to fund the project, plus,I have a great AOD with a shift kit to sell afterwards to help gain back a little cash.
thats the way to do it
got meh some parts via fedex today (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b150/Tcj429/parts.jpg)
Nice cutout. Is there another one for the other side?My lers have built in cutouts. They are the warlock lers.Nice peices, and when I uncork them,it really does surprise a few people. How big is that cutout?Looks pretty big in the picture.
its about 10'' long its 2 1/4 and yes theres another one
got a little idea up my sleeve
Nice work so far, dude. Keep us posted.
Well, note to self, dont do that again lol
I bought some cheapo Flowtech headers # 12104
ooooh boy were they fun. Got muh springs installed, gotta drill holes for the o2's and run the exhaust to finish up the upper half of the car. I need to buy a set of chuckie motormounts, my driverside one went to hell. uhm i had so many problems with the headers, but they look sooooo nice tucked right under the car :D now the saga continues. After tomorow ill have the weekend to work on her. im hoping to have the axles and get the rear back where its sopposed to be.
goal for sunday is to hear it run. corked or uncorked either way.

Which drums are you using on those axles?
Sheesh whats on that thing, just open headers/open h pipe? :hick: Sounds bad as hell  :burnout:
yeah herb thats about the same as what i have. they hang out hella far

Uh... Im gonna have the axle (hopefully) in tomorow. and then the brakes bled on friday... and on the ground by friday... if all goes according to plaaaan. i SHOULD be able to drive it next week.... if weather permits.

well, no pics till tomorow. but shes a bit quicker.
Isn't it snowing by you? :hick:
So when is this 331 going in? ;)
haha yeah we got close to 6 inches...
the 331 is going in when i get the bottom end built. I gotta get the valve job done on the E7's ive gotta nab a computer for a SD mustang... and get a good decent cam...
Its all waiting on money.
We got 12 inches. Lucky ;)
When you do that 331 and if you're using SD check this out for cams that work with SD: http://www.50tech.com/viewtopic.php?t=50694
thanks man... im just gonna be running orange tops and mostly stock parts for now... i cant wait till its not gonna be a bitch.
it was still kinda slow lastnight. then again.... i wasnt getting any traction.
Really? In the snow? lol
Try driving an MN-12 with a peg leg rear and a 3.8 through unplowed streets with 10-12 inches of snow. Talk about no traction :toilet:
try an 83 cougar peg leg :D
no... i drove it before it started snowin. and today after all the snow... it gets even more traction.
as promised... ill have better pictures soon but for now :D
