So, I guess a GT42R is out of the question?

Seriously, you might lurk around here for some ideas:

is there a store that sells for all ford's modular engine vehicles and only modular engines? i'm talkin lincolns and explorers and what not, not just mustangs. i'm really getting jaded on these places that only advertise mustang mustang mustang and don't bother with anyone else. i'm feeling very ignored on that one.

CAI, Exhaust, PI upgrade and tune would be my suggestions without knowing your budget/mechanical skill. Gears would help as well.

Or possibly a 4.6DOHC swap. :D

sadly that is all out of her price range for that. guess i'll just have to stick to craftsmen tools and wait for the tax returns. she said no to even one flowmaster ler. :wtf: :flame: :nutkick:

lI tell you to get exhaust work. The factory style exhaust is a big draw back. The 4.6's all have a factory section that is one pipe. Not true duals. Convert it to true duals. You will need better exhaust before you do much more to it anyway. IT will hold you back. Also you need to ditch that Violin case air tube thing if you haven't already. Once I ripped mine off and install my tubbing the car took off alot better.Forget the Tri-Ax get a PRO 5.0 if you have a 5 0r 6spd. Also make sure you turn the OD off if you really want to get moving quicker. That tells the tranny you want MAX performance not MPG.

Then tell her to go buy you a chunk of straight pipe and call it good.

"We don't need no stink'n lers!" :hick:

question on dual exhaust. if i hack out the main section of piping from my 93, cut the Y joints out of the 95 pipe, move the original piping over for 1 side, can i use the 93 pipe for the other side? this would leave all the newly welded pieces just to the spots where the main pipes hook to collectors and the ler bends.

That sounds about right for the low buck way to do it. IT will work.

Only problem with the 93 is you need the newer gas tank so you can get the room needed to put true duals on.
