This place has lots of them but I don't know about a 68 Cougar.

The one I put on mine was the SC-124.  Fit the hood good but I did not like the mounting and made my own.

not looking for anything even remotely that extreme. if i can't find a 68 cougar scoop clone then i may just go with a boss 429 scoop.

looks like that site just deals with original parts maybe. the 68 cougar hood was all 1 piece. the scoop was not seperate. that's why i had to find a cougar resto shop. cuz not everybody can have a 1968 Cougar XR& GT-E, but everybody wants one. they were the cobra of cougars, until the eliminator came along.

specifically i was looking for a REPRODUCTION of a 68 cougar scoop. an original was impossible cuz it wasn't a seperate part. finally found it at west coast classic cougar and when i get my tax returns i might just have it.

FYI, I talked with them about making a custom hood.  They will take any hood they make and combine it with any scoop they have, assuming similar materials.

They quoted me roughly parts +$100, so a hood ($400+) (complete underside) and scoop (~$100) = ~$600.  If interested, don't bother emailing, just call.

are those scoops fiberglass or plastic?

quote from cobranda.com "All of the hood scoops are hand laid fiberglass with 1/4-20 bolts
glued into them."

But i'm also thinkin i might go with the flat faced scoop (looks like a cereal box stapled to your hood) and going with this wing and stripe from a 1970 eliminator. i really don't want to mix and match years.

I already swapped in my 93 tail lights which look very similar to these.
