Dumb question but my heat ant blowing out and I’m getting cold. Its dark right now and I don’t remember where it’s located. I thought it was located in the fire wall but I’m wrong.

it's not blocked?
A step by step guide as well.... http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/14/e6/11/0900823d8014e611/repairInfoPages.htm
By blocked do you mean the recirc door may be stuck?
yes. the flappers sometimes break off the cable
did we go through all the tests in the post before this one?
This is true. Mine sticks in the cold weather at times causing my ATC to go nuts. When it does it it's usually open most of the way. I've got to go under there one of these days and see what the deal is....
is yours cable or hydraulic?
Ive always had problems with all my vehicles with heat in one way or another. i think ive seen it all by now
which farmingdale do you live in
The ATC uses an actuator with an arm on it to move the door. The actuator is good. I can hear it strain when the door gets hung up. If I cycle the system on and off a few times when it happens it will free it up.
The same one Innes does, on Long Island;)
mabe rust forms on the wire arm or hinges in the damp seasons or during air cond. season
thanks for the help guys looks of things it ant easy and i never done it before.
theres no-way i'm pulling it w/a hunch its bad ill test it first w/a volt-ohm meter.
so there's no fan movement at all at any speed?
I've got relatives in Brentwood I haven't seen in years. Maybe one day I'll be in the area.
No fan movement at all-no power.
Brentwood is a 10-15 minute ride from us.
You did check the fuse right.
When you check for power, check the fan speed switch. i've had those go bad. in fact, i had one that the connector used to melt on the back of-- and stop working
I work in Bays. Brentwood's right next door.
The fan itself is kinda easy to take out, 2 or 3 screws and a vacuum line. I had to take mine out to get the harness out.
Still haven’t touched it yet raked leaves today. They finally fell yesterday, late year its like our seasons are advanced 3 weeks here this year spring came in late and now its finally starting to get cold any one else from LI or the northeast notice.
Yup, I remember when I was a kid it had almost always snowed at least once by now....
Snow.
You live in the wrong part of NY. Thats why.
I'll take 85* and sunny all year long! I like the fact that it's almost December and my grass is still a vibrant green:D
yesterday it was 68F with a little rain here in south alabama.
Paul 85 is a little warm ill take 75-80 and dry.isn’t it humid in Alabama
Still haven’t got to it to much running around w/the wife and kid and i go back to work tonight. Ahh one day this week when I get home from work.
:screwy:
The blower is easy to get to even if there isnt a little man up in there handing it to you:D
1 check your 30A fuse
The next part is where it helps to have an old 300-500w computer power supply handy.
2 you said you have no power, Ill assume the fuse is ok. perhaps i didnt see where you answered that question.
3 place the blower in the off position and have the ign sw to off
insert fused 12v source into the orange wire of the blower motor.
flip on the blower controll to low, med, medhigh, high.
if blower turns on all settings, your fuse is blown or the AC/Heater
selector switch is defective or needs repair
4 If by chance you explained the symptom wrong and the above step works only in high, your blower resistor pack is defective. To repair, remove it and replace the tiny onboard thermal fuse which is blown.
5 Check to see if a mouse moved in and built a nest, like my white coug. You said you have no power coming to the blower, please explain how you determined this.
JCASSITY. Thankyou that’s really good and specific know how. Sure it will help. And no I have know idea what’s wrong other then it don’t work. Believe it or not it hasn’t worked for 2 years now just haven’t bothered cause I only drive the car on perfect days in the colder weather. Now that the motor was rebuilt I’m trying to put mileage on it and on the cold nights going to and coming from work.
OK checked the fuse and its ok, w/ignition on and fan on high checked the power going into the blower w/a volt meter and no power so I doubled and pulled the plug on the blower/fan and ran 12v and ground to it and bam it turned on so ban it turn on. so somewhere in-between is my problem.
OK I figured it out on the back of the heater panel in the dash there’s a wire harness w/4 inline pr0ngs in the very back of it I just have to connect it. That’s the easy part the hard part is finding it. Since this hasn’t worked since I replaced my dash I figured its buried back there somewhere. I pulled the radio and all I can’t find it does anyone know where in the harness it might be so I now where to start. That would be great.thankyou.
