Title: T.C. rear axle question...
Post by: screaming306 on November 20, 2007, 11:33:16 AM
i installed a 87 t.c. rear axle with disc brakes in my 84. i took all the parking cables and brakets... even the pedal. my question is this , on the t.c. car the parking brake cables route on this small metal bar crossing under the drive shaft and the exhuast. well i have installed a 306, C-4 combo with an 2 1/2  H-pipe too. will the remaineder of my exhuast fit above the bar for the cables ?????? or will the exhuast go under the bar ??????

Just take the bar off, I had to remove it to fit my exhaust.

I just ran the cable under my pipe. I have a 3" single to 2.5" duals and the e-brake cable crosses right past where the pipe splits.

I took the bar off also.

Ran the cable under the exhaust.

Me too but ran it over top of the exhaust.

Me too, but mine was a factory 5.0/AOD combo. I used Mark VII rear cables.

Still have the bar with the cables clipped to it(as factory)... 2 1/2" exhaust routes over bar... Actually it is wrapped with header wrap and the exhaust sets on the bar... No hanger on "H" pipe...
