Title: Is there a way to rig this fitting?
Post by: 88XR7 on November 08, 2007, 01:01:14 PM
I removed the heater core pipes on the Cougar and within doing that I have no temp sensor which = no gauge reading...

I'm hearing bubbling in the radiator which I think is because of air in the cooling system which I have been working out, but I need my temp sensor.

Does anyone know what size adapter fitting i need to fit the temp sensor into the port for the heater core pipes?

Nevermind, I went and got a fitting from Home Depot.

:shakeass: I know:hick:

I just went and got a 3/8" to 1/2" brass fitting and viola, no leak and temperature sensor works.

I was worried though, I had her running and noticed alot of water on the driveway.

Started peeking under the hood, only to realise that the throttle body warming lines (w/e its called) still had water running through, the heater core side had been discarded, but the other end was just laying down the side of the tranny spewing out water:flame:
