:burnout:
few more
I know this car was up for sale at 1 time would you still sell it maybe one day?
Looks good
lookin' good Sleeper, how about those smoked/darkened headlights-marker-turn lenses?
For some reason I kinda liked that car when it was primered, but man, it's really slick now!
would look even better with a matching hood... but still nice....
give it time, its on my list

Looking good
I’m thinking of those rims for my bird only 4-lug
Looking good :D
The motor ran away;) You know while the engine is out you could paint the bay black.......
Ah! Now what's it getting?
I would say "God only knows!" but i dont even think he knows anymore!
Don't paint all the hood white just leave the cowl part black might look kind of cool......just kind of going off what the other guy said but the car looks nice.
probably for one, fixing the broken tanny that he posted in another thread.... and some more stuff...... pay attention carpimp...... I mean aerobird.... LOL J/K/ :p
Ok, this may be taken as a bit of a rant, and that is okay by me. I probably walked into this bringing up a story about my brother's pit bulls (actually one is more rhodesian ridgeback and grayhound then pit, but whatever) The thing I would like to bring up is that pitbulls were bred to fight....other dogs! They are bred so their owners can go in safely and seperate the dogs before one dies. Please know I am completely against dog fighting for sport, but watching the two playfight with each other (perfectly safe and great exercise) is amazing. The acrobatic moves they make and the speed, especially of Mather (being part grayhound and able to keep up with them) is a joy. They love each other and you can see it when they play.
That's not to say pits don't attack humans, especially if they are poorly training. They take a lot of effort and love to train properly or they can be more than a handful. If you are not the dominant one in the relationship, then they can be dangerous. As far as fearing that they would randomly attack their owners, in the case of my brother's dogs, I would never in 1 million years think it. In the case of attacking strangers: Mischa - maybe, Mather - never. This is of course all thrown out the window if they think their owner is in danger: Mischa - in a heartbeat, Mather - in a heartbeat.
End Rant.
If people want to discuss this more, I suggest a new thread. Sorry for disturbing this one, but I felt I had to say something. I won't continue this in this thread.
Looks really nice. Those headlights look insane after being polished, they really add to the aggressive look of your car. you should paint around the flames on your cowl. Leave the front black, the ghost flames and white after the flames.
i'd like to see an I6 turbo in one of these!
it turned out to just be the converter that broke the trans is unhurt.
What was the stuff you used on your headlights to tint them? I remember you put alot of it on, and how did you get them to turn out like they did? I would like to do this to my truck. Also any complaints about night driving with them?
Sorry i don't always pay attention its called ADD.
Just a question how hard would it be for a Twin Turbo set-up for the 2.3 liter ford?
you'd probably blow more head gaskets than areobird.
vht night shades,I ended up sanding and buffing them till i got them were i wanted them. There no worse at night then an older car with non halogen lights.
just a custom manifold and some tiny turbo's
new pic of the day
could you use 2 T3/T4 turbos?
or can you mix one stock turbo and one upgraded turbo?
I dont see why you couldnt.
So you gave her a paint job? Looks a hell of a lot better in the second pic!
yeah preparing it under hood for another powerplant
ooohh shiny!
In the top pic, in your post 23, what's those 2 holes/round things in the firewall for?
they were for an Air to water intercooler.
looking good man.
It's been done, on the SVO I bought from Hal, and while it's very cool, you need a couple very small turbos, like T25s, and it's a lot of headache any time you have to change things. You can't really buy T25s new, unless they're ball bearing Garretts, you can get them used from JDM Nissans, but if you buy new ones here in the US they run at least 750 a piece, so that's 1500 in turbos, you'll have 500 in plumbing everything, a custom exhaust manifold with two T25 style s, two wastegates possibly if you use external. In the end the benefits are no greater than a split scroll single turbo with a proper header, for a LOT more cost. I've had one of the turbos fail and will just go to single turbo I think.
Maybe you could get more benefit with a true sequential twin turbo setup like a Supra or FD RX7 has, but that would be even MORE complication with a few actuators and valves thrown in. There's a reason why Supra and RX7 guys switch to big singles when they're going for a big upgrade in power.
New motor swap,Im ready for the hate responces there is a few reasons why i done it.
1.Cost
2. ease
3. time constraints
4. availability of parts
5.reliability (lol)
6. I wanted to
So keep this in mind with your responces.I dont want to turn this into a you coulda built a [insert ford motor here] because for the simple fact I couldnt.
SO for those who have wondered what has been going on since i broke the torque converter here it is...........
more
454 i hope
Small block, not a 454.
Congrats, cross-breeder. :D
Every chevy motor looks the same in orange and a big intake. As long as its not a 305 its awesome in my book!
Not as cool as Ted's 500 Caddy, but still sweet ;)
Will it have the stones to take over #1?
who knows it may have something else in it by next month :D
"Ford tough with Chevy stuff"
Good enough for me!!!! Cant wait to see the times!
;0
Someone poured weaksauce in your Ford motor and turned it into a Chevy. :)
Nah he just put the motor in backwards!
Boo ;)
Was that enough :flame: for ya? lol
only thing that would make me mad is the Chevy guys retarded comments like i guess you got smart an put a real motor in that Ford piece huh? and then you can politily say screw off its still a Ford. Its your car and your money an its not a honda motor is it.... ok then
I guess it's okay. I killed a Turbocoupe by putting a 5.0 in it. So in a way I understand.
Did you take a 350, and de-stroke it, or take a 305 and give it the poke?
At least you kept a ford power palnt in it.
Rest in peace Poor Turbo coupe......
If you were worried about reliability why would you try and buid up a 2.3L to begin with?
5.0Ls are reliable, and cheap. oh well, you car...
lol, I dont want to have to pull a motor when the block splits.
305 Its a little freak motor that i built a while back and makes good power.I just gave ger a freshen up and a little head and intake work this go around.
It has been a best of 7.90@88 (12.40@109 1/4) on the motor and 7.17@98 (11.28@121) on a little hit with mediocre 60' times the last time it was out.Gonna try for a repeat performance this time.
im disappointed we never got to find out exactly how fast the 2.3 setup was, and that setup was junked due to a converter failure.
goin fast, is goin fast i guess. i hope its fast.
Nice. so just incase, anybody wants to know...... ahem..... Whats involved with the swap since it is so "cheap".... there is a 450hp 350 for sale up here $1500.....
is that en electric water pump on front of your motor? i've seen that kinda device before but always wondered what they were.
Looks good, get air time in that car, 305's if built right can kick some ass.
A set of 67-81 camaro headers (long or short tube ive ran both and both fit ok) there may be others that fit better but i havent really looked into it.
Replace the rag joint with a Street rod style u joint (long tube only)
(some pass firewall mods at the drain location for tube clearance)
2-3/4 - 3" longer driveshaft and GM yoke with outside locks (driveshaft length for short tail th350 only)
I made my own solid mounts
use 2.3 radiator hoses to keep your ford radiator
Thats about it real simple swap.
There are k members and mounts/headers out for the swap but i havent priced any
Its hard to keep dumping money in it when a converter sets you back 700 bills.
$329 for the AJE k-member. im pretty sure it uses some type of stock sbc motor mounts.
my k-member would allow me to bolt in a ls1, if i ever decided to change motors.
ls1 would be a neat swap just the cost alone is enough to cringe
Is there anything people won't put a SBC in? lol
I wish someone would do a 455 Buick swap. That thing is a torque monster..........
a golf cart
they used a BBC for that!
Price em used ;)
John's primer 88TC is getting a LS1/T56 take-out from a Camaro. Right around $2000 for the engine, trans, and wiring complete on a pallet delivered.
2k is a deal i see them go local for 4,500+
I actualy have a spare buick 455, and have realy thought hard about dropping it in my tc if the motor ever pops. I've seen a 72 rivi run in the low 13's so I wonder what the bird would do?:burnout:
;)
