Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Joe,I'm from southeastern Connecticut.I was referred here by Michael from Aerobird Motorsports.
I've always been a Ford enthusiast.I've had several Ford muscle cars thru the years.I wish I still had some of them!!!But you all know how that goes.
I had a TC years ago that I enjoyed a lot.So I decided to pick up another one and ended up getting 2!! First I picked up the 87knowing it needed work, and my 15 year old son and I had such a great time working on it that I made him a deal,if he does good in school and stays out of trouble, and gets a part time job, that it will be his when he gets his license. He is really into it and seems to have a good knack for mechanical stuff.Thank god he's not into ricers!!!! LOL
So I picked up the 85 for myself.Rust-free car from Tennesee,we took a bus there and drove it back home (950 miles)!!! Mechanically, its mostly good,I knew the car washiznit in the front a long time ago,and it was kinda half-ass fixed, parts missing, etc. so I'm in the process of getting everything straightened out, going over the whole car,and going to get it repainted. It needs a little interior help but most of the inside is good.Mostly just needs cosmetics inside and out,but it runs good.
I may be looking for some parts here soon, but first I just wanted to introduce myself and wave a hand to everyone.
Catch you all later!!!!!!
Joe

What do you mean ricers? TCs are turbo 4 cylinders which equates to riceroni!

Welcome Joe to the board.:)
Alan
welcome a board.-- (get it- a board aboard the board)-- I know that was lame. but welcome aboard anyway (think i need some sleep)
Welcome!! That's like what happened to us. My (then 15, now 21 year old) son got an 87 TC that needed work. So, we bought an 87 TC parts car from the junkyard. Then we thought that car was too nice to part out, so we bought a parts car to fix up the parts car and it just sort of snowballed from there. Hopefully, your son will stick to it. It's a great way to spend lots of father-son time. I think you will both enjoy yourselves. Again, welcome!!
