Post by: mikesparks on October 16, 2007, 01:52:08 PM
i had bad valve seals so i rebuilt another head and swapped them out , new head gasket, bolts and oil. then i blew a head gasket so i replaced the head gasket again , new oil and coolant again now it sputtered when i got on it and it blew all of the oil out of the pan through the valve cover breather ? how and why? its a 2.3 turbo with t-3 at 17psi

my first thoguht would be a bad pcv valve, but it could be a few different things.  check the valve first.

If you're blowing oil out of the breather, you are pressurizing the crankcase.
We can't guess how things are working or not working w/o pics of your set-up since it's not stock.
What PCV valve are you using?  Motorcraft, or parts house POS?

motorcraft pcv, i have a hose coming off of the inlet of the turbo where the vam hose hooks up then to the pcv valve with a catch can inline . i ran it this way for constant vacuum to the pcv. last night i drove the car down the street and back and it pushed the oil back out and there was water in the catch can

Hold on...you ran the PCV valve directly to the intake?
