Regardless your engine size, how much money are you spending in gas in your daily driver ?
If you have calculations for a day, a week, a month, i can use that. And if you want, post your MPG.
Thanks.
$250/week 87 octane @ $2.50/gal right now. and it gets about 9mpg.
and thats cheap by comparrison to national data,,and around here.
3.07 for cheap stuff.
Literally, I know someone right now who "cant afford" to go to work.
Once every 4 weeks in the Mountaineer
(21 gallons @ $2.79/gal) = approx. $14.65/week
Economy = approx. 12mpg city, 22mpg highway (verified)
bout 50 a week to fill my front tank. which comes out to 40ish. and then another 10 in the rear tank for when i run low. so if i run out both tanks i get more MPG city has to be low like 9-11 but all whighway got to me 16-18 but hey it's a pickup. the car 40 to fill on regular 16 gallons.
also i forgot i fill the truck up with Plus. it wont run good on regular. it's about 2.55 for plus. regular was at a low for a while at 2.35
1997 5.0 Explorer AWD, about 100,000 miles on motor and trans.
$50-$60 per week, 87 octane, 21 gallon tank, $2.89 per gallon
13.5-15 mpg local, 18-20 mpg highway with cruise on.
As my foot gets heavier, my mileage goes down. ;)
At present all that is known is the $50 a week in the Bird.
$100 If the bird breaks and I have to drive my F250 4x4
$80-90 a week, and that's a 20min (both ways) commute, business miles (visiting clients) and all other DD type stuff (groceries, etc.).
We average around 600km to a tank.
$90 @1.069/L = 84.19L
600km / 84.19L = 7.12km/L (or 14.03L/100km, wich is in standard Metric fuel economy terms)
600km=372m 84.19L=22.23Gal
372m / 22.23Gal = 16.7mpg
Holy ! That's a lot better than I thought we were doing. I remember reading that our '91 Cherokee (not a Grand like our current car) 4.0L HO made 12mpg new.
2000 Durango 175k; Wife driving = 10.5 mpg city (she don't drive much on highway): Myself driving; 11.5-12.5 city/17-18 Hwy. In town we spend right about 60 a week, that's not with too much extra driving. Uses mid-grade, holds 25 but usually takes 18- 20 gls to fill
93' Tempo 37k; $30 a week. We get almost 2 weeks per tank. Love the cheap stuff :D most put in, 13 gals
Wife works 6 blocks from the house. She usually drives the Durango.
I take the son to and from school (approx 8mi round trip each time) and most of other DD duties.
im spending about 60 a week since i went to driving this truck
I thought I was feeling the GAS pain in my 94 cougar 4.6 I'm spending about $30 a week. That is for mainly work and some running to get stuff for projects, and food. It helps that works is about 1-2miles away.
Too much. Time to build up my commuter bike!
A "normal" week in the Scorpio runs me about $35.
Depending on any additional driving it might be as high as $50/week
I use 1 tank a week. usually runs about 50 bucks total. i get suprisingly good gas milage from my cougar. it's about 20 to 22 mpg. in my 92 f150 i only got 12 and it was a 302 also, go figure!
in the g6 my wife gets about 27mpg and fills up about once a week.
the tc gets about the same mileage, but i fill up more then her... i like to goose it here and there on the highway.
the ranger gets abotu 14mpg if i drive it normally. when i take it out to play with it, i can easily go throught a tank in less then a day.
At $2.77 a gallon for 86 octane and with my work being 1.5-2miles away depending on which way i go=$5 a week maybe to get to work with a few split shifts etc. All the rest of my money goes in my car or 2 video games or just driving around just to waste time and wait and my rent but at least i got my car paid off again.
I used to spend $50-$60/week driving the Lincoln and/or F-150 - this driving involves two 70 mile round trips into the city per week, plus just driving around here. Probably about 95% highway driving, since even going to the store is a five mile trip.
With the Saturn I spend about $25-$30 (plus a quart of oil every two weeks). Best $400 purchase I ever made :D
In the past 3 weeks I've spent $60.00 total. Price per gallon $3.15
MPG 21.... My commute to work is only 13 miles and most of it is highway and I work nights so almost no traffic too.
In the 07 Mustang (4.0 v6)... I have been averaging about 22mpg. If I tried I could get around 26mpg. If someone were to taser me I could manage 30mpg. I fill up twice a week, on just work travel, @ about $35 a tank. So $70 a week. Sucks, because it's practically all highway and all traffic --30 miles one way.
I actually swapped cars (07 Honda Accord Coupe I-4) with the fiancee this week to see how much money I would save on gas.
Why? Because despite asking her numerous times to check out her fuel mileage in a years time, I figure then only way I am going to find out is to drive her car. The thing is... I dislike this car... I don't think I will make it the rest of the week, let alone a couple fill ups. Took me an hour and a half to get home today, because I didn't have the power of lane choice. Or what's commonly referred to as torque.
in my thunderbird im averaging about 22 mpg (using 92 @ $2.86 a gallon) so far which is my daily driver atm. if i keep my foot out of it it should improve.
i do miss my previous cars gas mileage and it shows on my wallet
i was getting 48mpg(roughly) in it in mixed driving:shakeass:
about $30.00 a week for work.. about $5.00 more on the weekend premium unleaded 93 octane 3.10 a gallon at this time..about 190-200 miles a week..mostly in town..
During a normal two week period between paydays I use $50-60 of 93 octane.
The new cat did pretty good on the way back from Chicago, got about 22 mpg. Bad thing was I used almost a half gallon of brake fluid on the same trip.
Saturn? Wait, did I miss something?
W007 for the 2.5 99 cougar 30 bucks (on 87 octane) will last me a week thats around 12 gallons in the tank (full)
the 87 used o cost me upwards of 150 a week because i was driving out to Swanton and the timing was out by 9 degrees.
$15 a day in my '85 f150, til I bought this saturn for $400. Now it's about $15 a week, lol.
Saturn paid for itself already.
i need to find a saturn that can haul garage door parts!
Yes, you missed something. I bought a Saturn DD/beater (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=16107").
Hmm... We both have a T-Bird, an F-150, and a Saturn. I think I may be your evil twin
Saturn makes wagons, y'know :hick:
about $70 a week driving 100 miles a day to work and back. usually about 400 miles to a tank.
Depends. I drive 25miles for school 4 days a week, plus another 30 for work about 2 days a week. Get about 22MPG in a 97' Camry I4 w/ 214k miles. Gas at the moment is $2.59/gal.
So far this year I have spent $341.22 for gas. Divide that by 40 weeks and it comes to $8.53 a week.
I'm estimating $50 per week.
I drive about 80 miles/day 6 days a week so thats about 480 miles per week. Each fill-up is generally $35 every 4 days. I get anywhere between 29 and 33 mpg depending on my mood and traffic.
The car is an '05 i4 Tib.
If I really want to get technical, I can whip out my receipts. I have every gas receipt for every ounce of gas this car has ever had in it. All with the exception of the fill-up the dealer did before I drove it home. :D
When the '88 ran this schedule, I got 17mpg with premium. Even though that was before gas prices got all screwy it was still pretty expensive.
Too much.
between $600-$800 a month for me and the wife (two vehicles - 02 3.8 mustang 99 4.0 ranger)
~$30/week @ $2.70/gal.
I drive about 288 miles a week (15,000mi/yr) & get ~26 mi/gallon in my PT cruiser.
i wish i knew where my gas goes... i put in 10 at a time an it last about 1 1/2 on average. my one job is right up the street an my other one is about 20mins 1/2 highway 1/2 35 with lights.
so thats like around 100 every paycheck... maybe this second job will help.
'93 Buick I drive I fill up once a week for about $20 in 87 octane. I drive about 75 miles a week, most of that on weekends.
I just fill up the T-bird when it needs it (about 1/2 tank). Any lower and it costs too much to fill it up with 93 octane :hick:
My car about 25 a month 93 octain about $3.12
My work truck about 120 gal's a week,And glad I'm not payin for it.
ok got an average of 8.1 mpg ... ive got to do something about that
Never run same mileage, BUt the bird run about 25mpg, BUT I guess 20-25 a week...
Regards,
Dom.
i've been driving the gf's neon... about 32 mpg with a heavy foot.(Like you can tell the difference in that car...)
We go through alittle over 250 miles a week, that about $30 in gas...
