Title: Fuel level sending unit
Post by: 88turbo on October 01, 2007, 08:53:05 PM
last week mine quit working and like we all know none of the part stores carry them yet or if they ever will.  I'm looking for one from a southern car preferably but I will take what I can get.  I cant afford to pay a whole lot so be gentle.

For a TC? I have one that I can ship out next week (in a storage garage, worked when pulled). Say, $35 shipped?

Got it. I never got around to getting it from storage but I'm going back up on the 20th/21st and I'll grab it then. Have to have the unit cleaned out by the end of the month :D

I thought we had an agreement, I'm really needing this asap since I've been driving about 100 miles a day to get to work and back. :deal: :beatyoass:
Title: all guys who want their fuel sending units fixed....

there is a place on the web a small company that charges between 75-125 for any and all sending units, all brand new parts.. you ship him all of your broke unit and he repairs or replaces for you. in my car i am using a tank and unit from a 1983 thunderbird w/ v-6 carb. so it is only a pickup tube and float. i will be sending mine off soon as money permits..  this is the web address....

You waited a week to even let me know if you wanted it or not. I didn't go up because I hadn't heard anything. Now the next time I can make it is the 20th. If that doesn't work I'll refund you and you can find another one. I don't mean to be off here, but if you want it *now* say so *now*, not after a week of silence. Nothing is more frustrating then when a customer doesn't mention getting the item(s) very quickly, being lackadaisical, and then flaming the seller about where their part is. I know Carm understands what I'm saying.

Made me think you needed it right *now* and so I was willing to go out of my way to go retrieve it. Then I didn't hear any news. I can't read minds :(

The only thing I have around here is the sender on the Sport, and that's a 5.0/full digital dash car so it won't work (AFAIK). The one up in storage is from the Blue 87 TC I finished stripping a few months ago that washiznit by the 18-wheeler, and I got that car to run so I knew it worked.

If you can wait until the 20th, great. If not I'll refund your PayPal whenever you want. Sorry but I just can't get it any quicker.
