Not crazy about the color, but very nice car
Nice.
It's got weird options though. Base model, no moldings in between the bumpers and wheel, no passenger mirror, manual mirror, manual windows. And yet it has A/C, rear defrost, cruise, and a power seat.
Again..there is a forum for this sort of thing. Please use it.
good god! was that thing wrapped in plastic wrap it's whole life? it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
Just remember:
Missing molding pieces for no apparent reason usually = REPAINT.
The owner definitely hasn't driven it much in the last year. He had it on eBay in August of '06 with 7 miles less showing on the odometer.

repaint or not, that car is beautiful.
All it needs is some pony wheels or TC wheels or cobra Rs.
Yuck, yuck and oh yeah, yuck.
I though I saw that car before.......
So it is the same one?
I understand the repaint, but why put the thin little strip back in between the wheels?
At least somebody hosed down the engine bay and spray painted the air cleaner lid :hick:
My guess would be that he wasn't able find NOS replacement wide moldings, but was able to find the thin ones that goes in the center, or the body shop was able to save that one.
It's the same one, compare these two pictures.
The first one is from the August '06 auction, the second is from the current auction.
At first I thought he was just re-using the photos taken for last years auction but the grass in the background is noticable different.

Wasn't the engine bay trashed in the eBay auction?
And good point on the trim, I bet the center trim is just generaic stuff that looked "close enough".
Here are three pictures from last years auction, it looks the same to me. :dunno:

Different one then the one I was thinking of then.
The lid did get shinier though. :hick:
Looks like a pretty nice car, but I don't like that red interior. ugh. Does it look like the window trim is faded to anyone else? Doesn't seem like it should be if it was garaged.....hmmm.

It's beautiful. But if they're expecting to get blue book value for it I think they'll be disappointed. Thunderbirds don't have a huge following strangely. Guess we'll see.
mmmmmm white walls :burnout:
That's really nice!
I kind of like the trim theme... I was thinking if trying that myself with the thin trim off of a cougar, Not too bad... I might do it instead of putting the thick stuff back on.
