Title: Summit Brand Stuff

I was hangin out and talkin with a few freinds today and I mentioned how I was going to be going to be getting some new parts for the car soon enough. Summit fuel pump line kit, and maybe a summit intake. And they started talkin shiznit about the summit BRAND as a whole. How it's not a "real" Holley electric pump, and how it's not a "real" this and that. Is it really that bad? The summit brand stuff I have bought has workes 100% so far. Just wondering if there is some bad rep about summit brand stuff I don't know about or just stupid ricers talkin shiznit

I've heard good things about Summit product, but it's always non-electrical stuff.

All non-electrical Summit brand stuff is GREAT for the price. I love the oil catch can kit and the $5 fender liners!

I was thinking of a whole lot of summit brand stuff. The Summit E pump and regulater combo, a Smmit dual feed  fuel line with pressure guage, the Summit rubber fuel line and badass AN/NPT fittings, and maybe a set of the summit t-mount guages. I was just wondering like whats up. I know that the new summit ignition box's rival a name brand almost exactly. The fuel pump I want is the equivilant of a Holley blue pump and regulater set. Thanks for the responces guys. Anyone else have anything to add?

Electronics = BAD!
Examples - Line-Locks, Ignition Boxes, Distributors, Gauges, Wiring, etc.
Hard parts = OK
Examples - Intakes, headers, exhaust (all great for the $$$, but the REAL stuff DOES make more power, Proven Facts on Dynos, set your budget and get the best you can afford)
Misc = Great!
Examples - The stuff that's impossible to screw up, oil catch cans, fender liners, seats, valve covers, spacers, etc.
Trick Flow is owned by Summit and they have continued to make good stuff.

Where does teh Holley knock off E fuel pump fall into? So far the H pipe and cat-back have worked great fit wise.

I'm assuming that "teh Holley knock off E fuel pump" means electric pump. So, NO, do NOT buy it. The wiring/motor WILL be sub-par and it WILL fail prematurely. The real pumps are cheap enough!

I also heard trick flow is owned by summit so a lot of parts are trick flow parts w/out the trick flow name I think I mentioned this before. I also heard maybe someone could add to this that trick flow was the old SVO. Makes you think why summit don’t make/sell heads for ford sb but they do for everyone else.
I guessing someone will comment and correct/ad to this like I said it’s what I heard.

Does anyone know anything about there MAF sensors the price looks so good. It don’t know what mm they are. I called and acquired while making an order the guy stated there all 75 mm and did not know if they could be retuned for different injectors.

I just pulled out the book to check the price on it, and it seems that the summit brand is THE SAME as the Holley pump with a regulator. Problem solved.

As for the intake, I was thinking the Summit stage 1 or 2 for $129.99. Also the Summit Summit regulator to carb line/fittings,
SUM-Carbkit3

The last one is a maybe if I have the spar coin, but the
SUM-G1199
Black battery relocation kit

After this stuff, the car should be just about buttoned up again
